Who reads for CI? The very nature of their jobs demands anonymity. We cannot divulge who our readers are, but they are degreed, working industry professionals with strong development skills and thousands of scripts and coverage reports under their belts. They have worked for big production companies with studio deals and indies alike, and for several of the 3-letter agencies. Oh, and two of our freelance readers also read for, ahem, our more expensive competitors...

And don't worry, with Coverage, Ink. your work will remain anonymous. Coverage, Ink. will never expose your script to anyone.

Here are mini bios of some of the Coverage, Ink team:

 JC

WGA member Jim Cirile is the founder and owner of Coverage, Ink. Since 2001, Jim has covered the biz with his Agent’s Hot Sheet column for Creative Screenwriting magazine. He is a regular contributor for Script magazine. With almost two decades experience in screenwriting, development and production, Jim has sold, optioned, rewritten or written for hire a plethora of scripts and enjoyed a multipicture studio deal (Lionsgate.) Jim has a certificate in screenwriting from the UCLA Professional Program and may be the only person in history ever to rewrite the Coen Bros. (the unproduced “Guido.”)A former writer for “Weekly World News,” Jim is mostly focusing on consulting, mentoring and script doctoring lately while continuing to develop short and feature film projects.

Multi-award-winning screenwriter AS also hails from the UCLA Professional Program. She works professionally as a script doctor and contest coordinator and she reads or has read for CI, Scriptshark, Script Alley, Slamdance, New Regency, Senator Entertainment, Writers on the Storm, AAA and Screenwriting Expo contests. Wonderful with character, structure and especially dialogue; loves all genres.

DS earned a BA in Film Studies from UNLV and an MFA in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute.  He worked as a writer’s assistant to two top writers with multiple studio deals in addition to working as an office assistant to a top Hollywood producer, reading and covering hundreds of scripts.  DS then spent seven years in management, representing writers, directors and producers in film and television, managing careers and developing & packaging projects with clients.  He recently developed and produced an independent theatrical feature which premiered at Sundance ’08 and went on to attend over 30 festivals worldwide.  The film is currently being distributed theatrically and on DVD, VOD.  DS currently is an exec at a post-production/visual effects company and recently attended UNLV as an ‘Artist in Residence’ to talk to film students about the industry.  He continues to develop and produce projects for the screen.

Chicago native JT is a line producer for big name commercials, but his passion is writing. JT has been writing and reading scripts for two decades. His 2009 online motion comic action thriller was a big hit, which landed him representation at one of the big 3-letter agencies and much producer attention. JT has also read for the Gersh Agency, Lorimar and New Line and is a Writers Boot Camp alumni. A genuine movie nut. JT loves sci-fi, sports, Western, and genre films.

AP is a multiproduced writer with 11 produced feature films under his belt, ranging from genre-based horror and thriller movies to crowd-pleasing actioners and wide-appeal comedies and kids’ adventure tales.  In addition to a growing credit list as a go-to genre writer, AP is also an accomplished producer and director, whose extensive experience on both sides of the development process is put to use with every coverage report, script consultation, phone conference, rewrite, polish or writing-for-hire job he does for Coverage Ink.

New York-based BF is an optioned and produced screenwriter, and has written or ghostwritten over a dozen feature-length horrors, thrillers, and dramas.  As a writer/producer, his short horror/TV pilot has screened internationally at over twenty festivals, winning best short film, and placing as finalist in multiple television festivals.  He has won grand prize in The Writer’s Network competition, been an official selection in the Tribeca Film Festival All Access program, and been a finalist in the Sundance Writer’s Lab, Slamdance, and Project Greenlight. He has written coverage on over 400 screenplays and teleplays, including pre-production screenplays, and scripts by Academy Award nominees and leading contest winners.  He currently reads for several indie NYC film production companies as well as CI. BF recently made his directorial debut, directing the filming of a feature-length theatrical production by a critically acclaimed Manhattan company.

From Michigan, where he was film reviewer for the Michigan Daily paper and a coordinator for the Ann Arbor Film Festival, multi-award-winning screenwriter/analyst AK moved to LA in 2006 and cut his teeth working at New Line Cinema. While there, he became a top reviewer for both Zoetrope.com and Triggerstreet.com, where he was screenplay reviewer of the month. AK now works as an analyst for several indie prodcos as well as Coverage, Ink, while he continues to develop his own material as well as teach writing for a popular online writing course.

He has also taught screenwriting at CSU Northridge and at Bergen College in New Jersey.

With a B.F.A. in Film, KO is a repped WGA writer who has optioned several original screenplays, including one to Sony. He recently set up a TV pilot at CBS/Paramount and is shopping another. Worked as reader for Phoenix Pictures as well as various websites dedicated to helping writers develop their material through coverage and development notes. Judge for the CS Open as well as Creative Screenwriting magazine's AAA and Expo screenplay contests.  Loves quirky, unusual or noir material as well as action/adventure and studio-style films.

As a former assistant at a motion picture lit agent’s desk at ICM for almost three years, EY read “about 1.5 billion” scripts (his words) and recalls even though he had weekends off – he didn’t really. He left in 2007 to become a writer’s assistant on a 1-hr dramatic TV show. He is now on staff, and his first episode premiered in late 2009, in which he got co-writer credit. EY is cutthroat when it comes to grammar and structure and is more studio guy than indie.
